Strongyli Island
Strongyli or Stroggili (meaning round), is a small round island off the west coast of Rhodes. Uninhabited and unspoiled the surrounding area of Strongyli and the neighbouring Makri Island is a Natura 2000 protected area including Alimia and all the small islands between Rhodes and Chalki island.
The protected status have secured the development of a unique underwater habitat, full of exquisite specimens of the beautiful fauna and flora of the Aegean Sea.
The island also features two unique diving sites, the Alisi and BlueSky wrecks.
